, the rules
, the facts
- By joining DAWNING NIGHTS you are agreeing to follow all of these rules.
- Each person is allowed 3 characters on this site. If you would like more, your current account must all be active and have at least 100 posts each.
- Of those three characters, one must be a boy. No ifs, ands, or buts.
- We currently have the max character limit set at six characters. You may not make any more characters pass that until we have more members and this rule is changed.
- We will have an activity check every month or so to make sure that your character is active. If you miss the period to check in, your character will be deleted.
- Characters may not be related in any shape or form. If you think they'll end up having to interact at some point, then try to find another character to play.
- Be original – Plots, name, and all that other stuff.
- Oh, by the way. This will come in handy later in case you apply and need a phrase or something: I am a neutral country.
, the registration
- When putting in your character's name, make sure it's in all lowercase and it's their full name. Until the name is changed, you will not be accepted.
- No overly large signatures. The maximum width is set at 450px. If you go over this, we will have to ask you to change your signature. We think you'll be able to have good judgment on the height.
- No vampire over the age of 500 unless they are a canon. For the time being.
- OOC fighting will not be tolerated. You do it, and we have the rights to ban you from this site. You may, of course, fight In Character while posting, but fighting with a character's handler will cause trouble and there will be consequences.
, the application
- No Gary-Stu’s. As this is an intermediate board, we expect the characters to be well developed. This means there have to be flaws and points of weakness. Things they’re good at it, things they detest. Nobody’s perfect, not even this lovely staff -which we know is hard to believe- .
- Before your interview is accepted do not post anywhere else.
- Your character must be represented by a person. Not a drawing, but an actual person. It can be an unknown model or a celebrity face. After you have chosen one remember to claim it in the Face Claim. No vampire freaks though.
- Whether you get accepted or not depends wholly on your application. Don't just rush through it – actually work on it because it can help you feel out who your character is.
, the rest
- God-modding is a definite no. If you don't know what that means, look it up. Though I have to wonder how long you've been role-playing.
- This is an Intermediate role-play site, which means that the posts must be lengthy and well written. A minimum of three (5-9 sentences) paragraphs per post. As for grammar, try and keep it at a fairly high level. We understand that people make typos but a post riddled with errors is not what we're looking for. We understand if you're under the three paragraph minimum but don't make habit of it.
- Admin have the final say. No matter what.
- This phrase will also come in handy later the other half of secret phrase: I am Switzerland.
- You may advertise for other sites, but only in the advertisement board, not on your signature or in any of your posts. Especially not the C-box.
, the finale
- Have fun! Because when you have fun, we have fun – and that's all we really want, right?
